Latest Updates from Our Project:

Update: Galileo & Rosetta Pins Will Be Available as Add-Ons
11 months ago – Thu, May 01, 2025 at 12:25:05 PM

Thanks to your support, both Galileo and Rosetta/Philae have been added to the Spacecraft Pin Series! Once surveys go out (likely in a few days, pending BackerKit approval), you’ll be able to add either or both pins to your order during checkout for $8.50 each—just like the original five.

We’ll also be using the survey to collect your shipping info and collect postage, so keep an eye out. In the meantime, here’s a look at the Rosetta pin design in progress—it’s already one of our favorites.

Maybe not for any of you, but if friends missed the campaign, they can still get the full set—with Rosetta as an optional add-on—through this pre-order one-page checkout (no account or pledge required).

Thanks again to you all!

Well, We Did This.

Hey you guys… you helped me fund a series of spacecraft enamel pins. I can only assume this means you’re either a space nerd, a pin nerd, or just clicked the wrong link. Regardless:

THANK YOU.

Because of you, these tiny metallic tributes to humanity’s greatest off-world robots are getting made. You did that. You absolute legends.

Surveys will be going out shortly. Please fill them out. I know… Homework. But it’s the only way we’ll know where to send your precious space medallions.

A pre-order page can be found here: https://chopshopstore.myflodesk.com/zyzj8ta640

ALSO

Not only did you fund the campaign, but as of last night that pre-order page pushed us past the second stretch goal. Which means—a Rosetta pin is now happening. That’s right: yet another tiny tribute to robotic excellence that you can lose in your couch cushions.

Now, if you backed the Full Set (you overachiever, you), you’ll be asked in the upcoming survey whether you’d like to add this glorious, not-yet-designed piece of cosmic bling to your order. So keep an eye out.

Love and thrust,
Thomas

Stretch Goal Reached: Galileo Pin
11 months ago – Mon, Apr 28, 2025 at 09:39:47 AM

Been messing with this render thing in Photoshop. Here is the enamel pin effect using the art I have so far for the new Galileo pin which was unlocked last night at $4500. Next up (hopefully) is Rosetta at $6000.

Huygens Poll: With Type Wins and Vote for Dino Concepts
12 months ago – Tue, Apr 22, 2025 at 05:50:20 PM

Huygens Pin

The results of the Huygens with or without poll are in: about 58% voted to have the title included on the pin.

We believe BackerKit will automatically match previous backers to this campaign for the free pin, but just to be safe, we’d appreciate it if past backers could also send us a quick message here to help confirm you’re on the list.

Dino Extinction Pins

We’re planning the next set now, but we’d really love to get more votes on the concepts. Fortunately, one of the more popular ideas is already designed—it was originally created for The Planetary Society, so we’re excited to bring it back in this new series.

We’d love to reprint this design—along with at least four others—but we want to know which ideas YOU like best. Head over to the Dino Poll and vote! BackerKit only allows one vote, but feel free to drop your top 2–3 picks in the comments. That’s actually what we’d prefer.

Stretch Goals: Galileo and Rosetta/Philae
12 months ago – Fri, Apr 18, 2025 at 07:11:45 AM

Based on the poll results… we just added some stretch goals for Galielo and Rosetta/Philae to be the 6th and 7th pins at 4.5K and 6K raised.

The art shown here is from the sticker series (also available as add-ons). If we hit our goals, these designs will be adapted into enamel pins. Personally, I was hoping to include Rosetta—not just because it’s my favorite of the poster designs, but also to represent the EU in the set.

What comes after this campaign?

We’re working on a new series of Dino Extinction pins, building on a few designs we originally created for The Planetary Society’s KickAsteroid campaign about six years ago. Those pins are long sold out, but we’re planning to add at least four new ones—with your help. Only three people have voted so far, so we’d love for you to weigh in. BackerKit only allows one choice, but feel free to drop additional favorites in the comments below and we will count those as votes as well!
